My condolences to Johns family. I just found about His passing only yesterday. Back in the early 1970's I lived on Leesburg Rd. & He lived on the corner of Leesmoor Ln. & Leesburg Rd. John , me, & several other kids ran around together from 1969- 71. I haven't seen John since the mid 70's. Once again, my sincere condolences.

My cousin John had some really short straws, and through it all he seemed to take it in stride. He was always upbeat when I communicated with him in the hospital, an act of courage in the face of sickness. John didn't seem to lose his zest for life,

The memory I want to share is when I meant John. We were both waiting for our children while they were practicing for a school play. John was always light hearted and loved to make people smile. His pride and joy was his daughter Brooke. When John talked about Brooke his whole body seemed to glow. He will forever be her guardian angel.

John you have been a friend for so many years, I don't even know how many!
Carla, Steve and I were so glad to see you and take you out for a bite to eat last time we came to see you in 2010.
We all wanted to come visit again, and talked about it often. With my illness we were unable to make the trip in time :-( We will always love you like a brother. You always knew that anyway. You will be deeply missed.

Johnny Boy,
I was very sad to hear you are no longer with us... As I know how much you loved life, family and friends. But I must say I am relieved that you are no longer trapped in a body that wouldn't let you live the way I remember you.
Here's to the John I remember... Always smiling, laughing, telling a joke and being real about life.
