Jerry G. McClish, 74, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake.
Jerry was born on January 31, 1938 in Elwood, Indiana where he was raised. After living for a while in California, in October of 1976 his career with Sherwin Williams brought him to Cleveland, Jerry and his family then settled in North Ridgeville. He retired from Sherwin Williams in 1994.
Mr. McClish was a devoted member and proud Deacon at Abbe Road Baptist Church in Elyria. He was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, basketball, Nascar and Indy Racing.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy (nee Southern); daughters, Debbie McClish of North Ridgeville and Michelle (Brian) Geer of Houston, TX; son, Jeff (Cari) McClish of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Jeffrey McClish, Megan McClish, Taira Casper, Trent Geer, Katie Ann McClish, Austin Geer, Brennan Geer, Peyton Geer and Rebekah McClish; and his brother Larry (Brenda) McClish of Elwood, IN.
Preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Doris McClish (nee Chance); sister, Judy McClish; and his brother, Tom McClish.
Friends will be received on Friday from 5 – 8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd, N. Ridgeville. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2 PM from the Abbe Road Baptist Church, 670 Abbe Rd. North, Elyria. Pastor James Turner will officiate.
